Novel approaches for the eradication of mobile genetic elements encoding antimicrobial resistance

Building upon previous research indicating the predominant role of mobile genetic elements in the dissemination of antibiotic resistance, this project will focus on developing innovative strategies to target and eliminate these elements, thereby mitigating the spread of antibiotic resistance among pathogenic bacteria. Through a combination of molecular microbiology techniques, omics analyses, and in vivo infection models, this research seeks to contribute significantly to the global efforts aimed at combating the escalating threat of antibiotic resistance and safeguarding public health worldwide.
