Organization

Master's students and PhD candidates at Utrecht University are assigned to one of the University's seven Graduate Schools. Each School comprises a number of Master's and PhD programmes in related areas. This creates a stimulating context in which Master's students, PhD candidates and researchers can meet and interact.

The Graduate School of Life Sciences organises all Master's and PhD programmes focused on micro-organisms, plants, animals, humans, the molecules of life, and health & disease. Infection & Immunity Utrecht is one of the 16 Master's programmes and  14 PhD programmes withing the Graduate School of Life Sciences.

The role of the I & I board is to determine policies and plans, as well as to oversee and guide the organization staff.

All personal information provided to I & I's website is treated with the utmost care, and is carefully processed and protected. I & I uses this data to notify members of upcoming events and to provide an up to date online overview of the research performed within our program. By applying with our PhD program, you agree to the terms of the policy as outlined above.

  • You apply for our PhD program.
  • You send us a request to be added to our mailing list.

How we share your personal information

  • Yearly report to the UU Graduate School of Life Sciences (name & start date only).

How long we keep your personal information for

We'll store your information for the duration of your PhD track. After your defense your information will be archived and you will be removed from our mailing list, unless you actively request us to keep you informed.

Your rights

  • Right to correct personal data
    If you believe any of the personal data we hold about you is incorrect, you can request we update it.
  • Right to access personal data
    You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Right to object to use of personal data
    We use your data to inform you of upcoming educational activities, you can object to this at any time.

    In some circumstances, such as when we no longer have a justifiable reason to keep your data, you can request we delete it.
