Investigating the role of extracellular vesicles in host-virus interactions

In this project we will investigate the role of extracellular vesicles in host-virus interaction. We will examine the role of host cell receptor on naked virus and EV-enclosed virus entry. Further, we will look at the differences in plasma membrane fusion between naked virus and EV-enclosed virus. At last, we will explore the effect of the difference in cargo of EVs produced by viral infected cells versus healthy cells on pathogenesis.
