Identification of novel host factors involved in HSV-1 infection

Use CRISPR/Cas9 library screens to identify new host factors in the infection process of the human herpesvirus HSV-1. Additionally, we will develop antiviral systems based on CRISPR/Cas9 to interfere with HSV-1 infections in vitro and in vivo.
