Goal

This course aims to further extend participant’s knowledge of recent developments in immunology and to improve the understanding of key scientific questions and approaches in immunological research.

Content

In 5 days we work our way through, Adaptive Immunity, Innate Immune System, Traffic & Communication and Clinical Immunology. The lectures are combined with discussions on immunological topics, the Eijkman lecture and master class.

Target audience

The course is mainly directed towards PhD students in our Infection & Immunity PhD programme.
However, the course is open to all scientists with an interest in Immunology.

Language

The course is given in English.

Certificate

To qualify for the certificate, participants need to attend at least 80% of the lectures.
Attendance is registered.

  • Other participants: € 500,00

Registration

Cancellation and no-show policy

This course is offered at no cost to PhD candidates of the UU Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS). However, "free of charge" does not mean "free of commitment." Once you register, we count on your attendance. Each late cancellation or no-show takes a spot from someone else who would have liked to participate. Therefore, the following policy applies:

  • You may cancel your registration without penalty up to one week before the course begins.

  • We expect participants to actively attend the entire course, or at a minimum 80% of it.

  • If these conditions are not met, a no-show fee of €250 will be charged.
